- Piezoelectric Power Generation: Designed an electronic circuit based on SSHI and SECI techniques to generate electricity from piezoelectric materials, guided by Dr. Pranti Purohit and PhD scholar Bomkesh sir. Published the results in the STM journal.
Reflection on Hostel Life:
Living in the GMU hostel was an unforgettable experience. It taught me how to manage myself financially and adapt to social environments. I explored nearby areas in Sambalpur, connecting with the locals through our shared language and gaining a deeper appreciation for their arts and culture. These experiences enriched my life and left me with memories I cherish deeply.
This phase of my academic journey solidified my love for research, teamwork, and innovation. The guidance of my mentors and collaboration with friends made my bachelor’s years both productive and fulfilling, shaping the person I am today.

The COVID-19 lockdown, following my completion of Class 12th, provided me with an excellent opportunity to dive into the world of software development. Staying at home, I dedicated myself to learning various programming languages and technologies, which eventually led to some impactful projects.

Audio amplifier using Opamp
During 1st year of bachelor’s
During my college journey, I gained a strong foundation in analog electronics and learned about various electronic components and circuits. These studies equipped me with the knowledge to design and build practical electronic systems.

As a hands-on application of my learning, I designed and built an audio amplifier using the LM-386 op-amp along with supporting circuits.

During 2nd year of bachelor’s
In my second year of bachelor’s studies, I delved into solid-state physics, laser applications, and superconductivity, alongside wave optics. These topics introduced me to the fascinating phenomena demonstrating the wave properties of light, such as:

Project: Cost-Effective Optical Bench with Laser Mount
Inspired by my studies and leveraging my knowledge of electronics, I designed and built an optical instrument tailored for demonstrating these optical phenomena effectively and affordably.
Key Features of the Instrument:
- Construction:
- Used a basic, standard, cheap metallic element as the optical bench.
- Integrated a rechargeable, battery-operated semiconductor laser mounted on a sliding mechanism.
- Adjustable Laser Mount: The laser mount was designed to slide smoothly and be positioned precisely along the optical bench, allowing for accurate experimental setups.
- Cost Efficiency: The entire device was built for just INR 200, making it an accessible teaching aid for high schools.
- Applications: The instrument could demonstrate phenomena like interference, diffraction, and the working of a Michelson interferometer. It was designed to be extendable and modifiable for further applications.
This project was a significant achievement, blending physics and electronics to create a practical teaching tool. By developing a cost-effective solution, I contributed to making advanced optical experiments more accessible for high school students, enhancing their understanding through hands-on visualization.
Research Paper author: Energy Harvesting Circuits with Piezoelectric Material
Final year of bachelor’s
During my B.Sc. final year, I undertook a research project focusing on energy harvesting circuits using piezoelectric materials. The project combined theoretical knowledge from my electronics coursework with practical circuit design, development, and optimization techniques.

During 1st year of Master
As a recipient of the prestigious Summer Research Fellowship from the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), I joined IIEST Shibpur for two months, where I focused on a project integrating Android app development with robotics and mechatronics.

- Designed and developed an Android app and firmware to automate Arduino I/O operations using Bluetooth communication.
- Enabled wireless control over Arduino systems, facilitating precise and efficient operation of remote devices.
